Account security (2FA & trusted devices)

Enable two-factor authentication (TOTP) and manage trusted devices.

Nubiecloud offers two complementary mechanisms to protect your account: two-factor authentication (2FA) and device verification.

Two-factor authentication (2FA / TOTP)

2FA adds a temporary code on top of your password, generated by an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator…).

Enabling 2FA

  1. From your profile, choose Enable two-factor authentication.
  2. Nubiecloud shows a QR code (plus a key you can type in manually). Scan it with your authenticator app.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to confirm.
  4. Save the 10 backup codes that are displayed: they let you sign in if you lose your phone. They are shown only once.

At sign-in

Once 2FA is active, after your password Nubiecloud asks for the code from your app (or a backup code). Each backup code can only be used once.

Disabling 2FA

From your profile, disable 2FA by confirming with your password and a valid code.

🔒 Keep your backup codes somewhere safe. If you lose both your phone and your codes, you will need to contact support.

Trusted devices

When you sign in from a new device, Nubiecloud may send you a 6-digit code by email to confirm it really is you.
