Regions & Connect
Nubiecloud regions and custom regions (your own infrastructure) — the concept and how to choose one at the project level.
A region determines where your applications run. Nubiecloud distinguishes two kinds of regions.
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Nubiecloud (global) region | Infrastructure managed by Nubiecloud, shared across all organizations (e.g. Europe). |
| Custom region | Your own infrastructure (a VM/server you connect), private to your organization. |
ℹ️ Additional regions (Africa) are announced in the console as "coming soon": they appear in the selector but are not enabled yet.
Choosing a region
The region is chosen when creating a project (Region field). Every application of the project runs in the chosen region.
- Global regions are available immediately.
- A custom region can only be selected once it is connected (see below).
Connecting your own infrastructure
You can attach your own server as a region: Nubiecloud installs everything needed on it and links it securely. This is the Connect feature.
